A Visit To Dongtan Beach

Located just a five minute walk from Supertown Walking Street, Dongtan Beach
offers a great experience of Sun & Sand!

 

The recently renovated Dongtan Beach, long considered the "gay beach" offers all of the amenities you'll need for a full day of fun. You can swim, eat, drink, tan yourself, have a massage, play volleyball, shop or sleep under an umbrella to the sound of crashing waves!

You can rent a beach chair and umbrella for the day for 40 to100 baht (depending on chair type). While you are there, you will be offered food & drink menu's and your order will be delivered directly to your chair.

If you would like a manicure, a pedicure or a massage, it's all available on the beach for your pleasure.

For those who prefer a less crowded setting, there are areas of the beach without chair operators where to can stretch out on your beach towel.

It's not uncommon to see an energetic volleyball game along the beach in the afternoon or evening. 

Vendors walk up and down the beach with a myriad of items from food & fruit to sunglasses and leather belts for you to purchase. Don't be afraid to bargain!

So many food options are available for you on the beach. You can order from local restaurants, purchase from local hawkers who roam the beach or visit one of the many food carts along the beach.

At the entrance to the beach, there are shops selling everything from beach towels and bathing suits to hats and inflatable life rings.

At the entrance to the beach are convenience stores where you can buy food or drinks.

Free Toilets are available along the beach. You are encouraged to leave a tip (5 baht) to support the cleaning staff, but it is not required.

There's so much to do at the beach, you'll want to visit it often!
